DHCP Server Backup and Restore
Step by Step

To backup the DHCP database.

Prerequisites

  • Before working on this lab, You must have
  • A computer running windows server 2022 Domain Controller.
  • A Member Server running windows server 2022 or client running windows 10.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1

Go to DHCP console à right click the server name à select Backup

Select the Location to save the backup file à OK

Delete the Existing scope

In DHCP Console à right click the server name à select Restore.

Select the location of file for Restoration.

Click Yes.

Step 7

Click OK and for the Scope restored in DHCP Console.

Verification

Verify that your configuration works as expected. Open tools and check settings matching the parameters.
