Configuring Client (Windows 10)
Step by Step

To join Clients in Domain.

Prerequisites

  • Before working on this lab, You must have
  • A computer running windows 2022 server Domain Controller.
  • A computer running windows 10

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1

Log in as Administrator to Workgroup Computer.

Right click Computer Icon and click Properties à Rename this pc (Advance)

Step 3

In the System properties dialog box click Change.

Select the Member of Domain and enter the Domain Name (Ex:Microsoft.com)

Enter the user name Administrator and Password, click OK.

Step 6

Welcome Message appears indicating that the computer was successful in joining the Domain, click OK and OK, It will ask for restart, click Restart Now.

After restarting the computer, it will become Client.

Verification

  • 1. Right click Computer Icon à Properties.
  • 2. Click Computer Name, domain, and workgroup settings and verify for the
  • Domain Name MICROSOFT.COM.
